Lt. Rodger Ollis

The Newlin Foundation Trustees welcomed Lt. Rodger H. Ollis, Jr. to the board in June 2023.  Lt. Ollis has been a volunteer with the Newlin Foundation since its inception, assisting with scholar application reviews, interviews and the scholar selection process. Professionally, Lt. Ollis began his Chester County law enforcement career in 1997. He has been a valued member of the City of Coatesville Police Department since 2009. Prior to joining the City of Coatesville Police Department, he held the position of Regional Security Manager with West Chester-based QVC. Inc. He is a member of the Coatesville community, and has served as a Police Department liaison and as a member of numerous community-based task forces. Lt. Ollis’ professional goal is to positively brand the City of Coatesville’s Police Department and the community served, to maximize police services with a community policing approach and foster professionalism within the department. His work is always grounded in ethics, integrity, motivation and dedication. He has received multiple awards and recognition for his dedicated service to the community, its residents and its organizations. Lt. Ollis has significant nonprofit board and advisory board experience and has most recently served on the board of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County. Lt. Ollis has a passion for education and serves as an educator in many professional, academic and community-based initiatives. He received both his undergraduate degree and master’s degree from West Chester University in Criminal Justice.
