Kim Kiszely ( Ms. Kiz) joined the Newlin Foundation in April of 2022 as the Scholar Support Associate. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from West Chester University. She has spent the past 34 years working within the Coatesville Area School District as a Special Education Teacher, Guidance Counselor and Guidance Coordinator. Kim has extensive experience working with students in areas of academic achievement, personal and social development. Kim likes helping students find their “Spark”. Assisting students to identify their personal goals, strengths, weaknesses, career interests, and post-secondary plans.
Kim works closely with the incoming class of scholars and their families with the college transition process. In addition, she conducts check- in’s with our college aged scholars to assist them with stress management, time management and accessing support services on and off campus.
Over the years Kim has served as the Coatesville Ares School District School Liaison for The Coatesville Area Youth Philanthropy Program, The Lincoln University Dual Enrollment Program, and The Delaware Valley Minority Student Achievement Consortium. Kim was a board member of the Coatesville Youth Initiative. In addition, Kim collaborated with the Brandywine Health Foundation grant writing team to bring Youth Mental Health First Aid training to the Coatesville Area School district.
Kim resides in East Fallowfield with her daughter Sydney. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, cooking and working out.
